Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0110846A2] The present invention relates to therapeutically active novel 1,4-benzodiazepine compounds and derivatives thereof, of formula (I), wherein R31 or/and R32 contain at least a carboxy, or an amino group or both. Also provided is a method of preparing compounds of formula (I), and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds. The novel compounds act as modulators of metabotropic glutamate receptors and, as such, are useful in treating diseases of the central nervous system related to the metabotropic glutamate receptor system.
