Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1211028A2] A series of spaced apart touch probes (4) are provided on opposite sides of a bridge (6), the number of probes corresponding to the number of main bearings (3) on the camshaft (1). The bridge is releasably connected via a quick-change coupling to the free end of at least one arm. Each probe is connected via a plug and cable to an evaluation device. The measuring probes are located in a mounting at the free end of arm connected to a shaft (29) extending parallel to the camshaft.
