A twin wall thermoplastic panel has outer walls separated by inner partitions, at least some of which are set at an oblique angle to the walls to form alternating and opposite channels of equal cross section. One variant of the panel can have angled partitions alternating with perpendicular ones; another has oblique panels alternating in opposite directions. The panel has outer walls (1, 2) separated by inner partitions (3, 5), at least some of which are set at an oblique angle to the walls to form alternating and opposite channels of equal cross section. One variant of the panel can have angled partitions alternating with perpendicular ones; another has oblique panels alternating in opposite directions. The angle of the oblique partitions is 45 deg plus/minus 15 deg, and the panel is preferably between 4 and 12 mm thick, with a weight of 800 - 2500 g/sq m.
