[origin: EP1211213A2] The folding machine has a cam with a cam follower which controls a holder for the edges of the signatures. For operating in single copy mode raised sections (210, 211) are inserted into the path of the cam follower, while for collating lower sections (213, 214) with the same radius of curvature as the path of the cam follower are inserted into it. An Independent claim is included for a method for changing a folding machine from single copy to collating mode as described above.
