Abstract (en)
The double-mouth valve for a compressor head used in an inhalation therapy apparatus is of rubber or other elastic plastic and has a cylindrical end (6.1) with a circular opening. The cylindrical end is surrounded by a plate-shaped edge (6.2). The opposite end (6.3) of the valve has two crossways arranged valve opening edges (6.4, 6.5). In the rest state, both of these edges are closed. When compressed air flows into the cylindrical end of the valve, the valve openings open along the edges (6.4, 6.5) due to the valve vanes (6.7, 6.6, 6.8, 6.9) being braced apart.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Kompressorkopf, der sich insbesondere erfindungsgemäß durch die Verwendung elastischer Mehrfach-Schnabelventile auszeichnet. Durch die Verwendung derartiger elastischer Mehrfach-Schnabelventile kann die Geräuschentwicklung während eines periodischen Kompressionsvorganges wesentlich verringert werden, ohne daß dabei die Betriebseigenschaften des Kompressors verschlechtert werden. <IMAGE>
