[origin: WO0113765A1] The invention concerns a chair comprising a lower frame with a number of individually pivotal castors, a central, height-adjustable support column (3), which at its lower end is secured in said frame, and which at its upper end is connected with a carrier bracket (1, 2) for the securing of a seat (5) and a backrest (19), in that said seat (5) can be tilted around a tilt point (6) disposed in the carrier bracket (1, 2), and where the height of the backrest (19) in relation to the tilt point (6) of the seat, seen in a direction substantially at right-angles to the seat (5), is more or less constant. The carrier bracket comprises an inner part (1), which is fixed in relation to the support column (3), and an outer part (2), which is movable in relation to the inner part (1), and to which outer part (2) the seat (5) of the chair is secured. The seat (5) can be ventilated, in that a cavity (22) is formed between a sitting platform (24) and the foam material (23) of the seat (5).
