[origin: WO0120140A1] The invention relates to an actuator device which holds an actuator, for actuating a gas exchange valve of an internal combustion engine for instance, in an end position by means of a coil. The aim of the invention is to switch said actuator device into the other end position in time. To this end, the impingement of the coil with voltage is stopped a certain period of time tk before the moment when the actuator is released from the end position. The period of time tk is selected according to the supply voltage of the actuator device and/or of the coil current during holding in the end position. It is possible to adapt the period of time tk.
