[origin: DE19944103A1] The invention relates to a device for determining the fill level of a filling substance (2) in a container (4), comprising a signal generator (6) which generates high-frequency signals, a transmitter-receiver pair (7, 8) which transmits the signals via an antenna (10) and receives the signals which have been reflected on the surface (3) of the filling substance (2), a coaxial line (11) with an inner conductor (12) and an outer conductor (13) for bearing the signals and comprising an evaluation unit (14) which determines the fill level in the container (4) using the transit time of the signals. The antenna (10) has a wave duct (16) which is delimited by a rear wall (15). A send line (17) is provided on the rear wall (15) of the wave duct (16), which runs substantially within said wave duct (16), whereby a first end section (18) of the send line (17) is connected to the inner conductor (12) of the coaxial line (11).
