[origin: WO0115359A1] The present invention provides a method and system for interactive broadcasting. Video content (15), typically also including an audio component, is transmitted via a communication channel (14). Visible portions of interactive content (16) are also transmitted via this communication channel (14). Non-visible portions of the interactive content (11) are transmitted via a communication channel (12) which may differ from the channel used for the video content (15) and the visible portions of the interactive content (16). A typical system will include collector/dispatcher control and rendering subsystems. The collector/dispatcher subsystem (20) may retrieve interactive content as prescribed by sheduling information accessible to the control subsystem and in some cases parse the visible and non-visible portions of the retrieved content. Such retrieved content may be forwarded to the rendering subsystem for transmission along with received video content.
