[origin: US2002036243A1] The present invention relates to a fire hose nozzle comprising a safety device (1) to prevent it from being displaced through the action of the water that supplies it. According to the invention, this device includes a tubular body (3), a butterfly disc (5) including two coaxial trunnions (6) pivotally mounted on the body (3), the butterfly disc being movable inside the tubular body between an open position, in which it allows the water to flow, and a closed position, in which it restricts this flow, an external control lever integral with one of the trunnions (6), and a triggering means (8) borne by the control lever (7) and bearing against the ground, holding the butterfly disc (5) in its open position when the control lever exerts thereon, owing to the action of the water flowing over the butterfly disc, a downwards directed vertical force.

La présente invention concerne une lance à incendie comportant un dispositif de sécurité (1) pour l'empêcher de se déplacer sous l'action de l'eau assurant son alimentation. Selon l'invention, ce dispositif comprend un corps tubulaire (3), un papillon (5) comprenant deux tourillons coaxiaux (6) montés pivotants sur le corps (3), le papillon étant déplaçable dans le corps tubulaire entre une position d'ouverture dans laquelle il autorise la circulation de l'eau et une position de fermeture dans laquelle il limite cette circulation, un levier de commande extérieur (7) solidaire de l'un des tourillons (6), et un déclencheur (8) porté par le levier de commande (7) et s'appuyant contre le sol en maintenant le papillon (5) dans sa position d'ouverture lorsque le levier de commande exerce sur lui, sous l'action de l'eau circulant sur le papillon, une force verticale dirigée vers le bas. <IMAGE>
