[origin: EP1213430A2] The connecting band is based on a first layer of diffusion-proof film (1) with an extensible reserve part (R) and a tear-off layer (17) without extension reserve or else of shorter reserve than that on the main layer (1,R). The film (1) is folded (19) normal to the reserve (R), or again the film layer (1) is pleated or crimped normal to the reserve (R). The fold edges (19) fold out at right angles to the adhesive covering (6) as masked by protective strip. The band fits into a recessed part (26) of the window etc frame (7) for fixing by strip (6).
