[origin: EP1213436A2] A method for fitting a roller shutter to a hollow reel (3) uses spring tags (4) with a clip fitting to the reel and with a hinge joint (5) to the top of the upper element (1) of the shutter. The reel fitting uses a clamping plate (8) with grip fingers to reach through holes (14) in the end of the tag and slot into holes (19) in the hollow reel. The locking plates are secured by a twist action. If the closed shutter is forced up, from the outside, the spring tags hold the upper element away from the reel and under the top of the window aperture, i.e. the shutter cannot be levered up.
