End part (5) and/or end part (13) can be coupled through a coupling to the drive (31) on a temporary basis and one of the end bearers (21,23) includes a U-shaped opening to grasp round the drive shaft (26). The specified coupling has a cam joined to the driving element (33) and a cam receiver for cam engagement and release. The cam rides a wheel to connect temporarily to the cam receiver. One cam mounting has a projecting cylinder casing part and one cam has a circular shaped bearing surface. Either or both end parts (5,13) can be temporarily locked down relative the window etc opening (3) or relative the fixed blind part (1) using a bearer-fitted (21,3) ratchet element whose endface is contacted by the control face of the cam or cam-fitted driving element (33) here designed specifically as a chain, riding over gearwheels via the fitted cams.

Bei einer Abdeckvorrichtung (1) für eine Aussparung (3) an einem Gebäude wird das Abdeckmittel (9) zwischen dem ersten Endteil (5) und dem zweiten Endteil (13) gehalten. Der erste Endteil (5) wird von ersten Trägern (21) gehalten, der zweite Endteil (13) von zweiten Trägern (23). Die Träger (21,23) können temporär und wiederlösbar mit den Antriebselementen (33) einer Antriebsvorrichtung (31) verbunden und durch diese bewegt werden. Die gleiche Antriebsvorrichtung (31) wird auch zum Verriegeln der Träger (21,23) in einer bestimmten Lage benutzt. <IMAGE>
