[origin: JP2002250030A] PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transfer means using a series of rods offering a dual injection technique. SOLUTION: A series of boring rods 20i and 20s are aligned by the information transfer means. Each rod is provided with a conductive outside pipe 34, a conductive inside pipe 36 conveying a liquid under the prescribed pressure, and an annular space 38 located between the inner wall of the outside pipe and the outer wall of the inside pipe and filled with a nonconductive liquid. The information transfer means is provided with a first inductively coupled coil 40 arranged near the lower end section of a series of rods in the annular space 38, a second inductively coupled coil 46 arranged near the upper end section of a series of rods in the annular space 38, and a means formed in the second coil to receive an electric signal.
