A catalyst housing (10) comprises a tubular middle portion (12), and first and second end portions, wherein said middle portion (12) and said first and second end portions are formed by an integral stamped part. The first end portion is stamped so as to form a reducing end cap (16) for fitting said catalyst housing to an exhaust tubing and said second end portion is bend outwardly so as to form an outwardly extending flange (18). <IMAGE>
