Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1213536A2] The premixing burner system has a pilot fuel feed (12, 13) for operating the combustion chamber (5) of a gas turbine. A fuel feed unit (2) and air channel (3) form an air/fuel mixture in a premixing burner (1). This is fed to the combustion chamber and ignited to produce a stable flame. A catalytic unit (6) is mounted outside the premixing burner and the pilot fuel feed feeds a pilot fuel/air mixture through this where it is converted to a CO2/H2 mixture which is fed to the combustion chamber to stabilise the flame. An Independent claim is included for a method for operating the system.
