[origin: EP1213622A2] Electro-photographic printer has an improved flexible chain guard (50) for protection of the toner housing drive chain against dirtying by toner dust. The printer can also have a rigid chain guard that is arranged alongside the flexible guard so that flexible and rigid guards are overlapping. Toner station (10) has a drive chain (28, 34) that drives a rotating housing (16) with a photo-conductor (13) arranged adjacently to the housing forming an image development area. The flexible chain guard is next to the image development area. Independent claims are made for electro-photographic toner station, printer and toner station drive chain protection assembly.
