Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0121221A1] The invention relates to a method and a device for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces (e.g., of hospital floors, medical baths, etc.). The aim of the invention is to develop known cleaning systems and methods of this type used for cleaning surfaces mechanically in such a way as to achieve sufficiently effective and reliable disinfecting without the use of chemical active agents. According to the inventive method, steam is guided out of the output evaporator cell (20) and onto the surface (4) to be disinfected via a tuyere (3), with a laminar flow. Once condensation is complete, the steam is drawn off into a collector vessel (11) and transferred into the tuyere through a heated tube (15), via a tapered feeding section (21), in order to form a closed steam circuit in the disinfecting head (1). The invention also relates to a cleaning device (24) for carrying out this method. Said cleaning device contains rotating brushes (5) and the usual cleaning elements in the front area, while the disinfecting head (1) with the tuyere (3), the output evaporator cell (20), the collector vessel (11) and the suction device (9) are provided in the back part. One or more disinfecting heads (1) can support one or more tuyeres (3) and can be used with different construction types.
