Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0117876A1] A pet food package for canned pet foods. The package contains one or more cans (50) and a carrier (40). Each can has a flexible, peelable lid which is heat sealed onto the can. The lid is relatively easy to remove. The carrier is a fibre-based board which is folded around the cans. The board has slots cut into it which receive an upper seam (58) of the cans to hold the cans. The carrier protects the lid of the cans and releasably holds the cans in place. The cans may be sized for single servings and hold food of different flavours, so as to help avoid taste fatigue.
