[origin: WO0112678A1] In situ polymerization of polyamide monomers and silicate materials produces polyamide nanocomposite materials with desirable physical properties. The nanocomposite materials produced include homopolymers and copolymers. The properties of the nanocomposite materials may be varied by the choice of monomers, type of silicate, and polymerization conditions.
