[origin: EP1214998A2] Casting mold (1) has a casting contouring region (2) formed as a special part (3) with a wall (4) and produced by sintering or hot isostatic pressing. The part of the mold on the machine side is formed by casting around the casting contouring region with an iron material. Preferably the casting contouring region is placed in a consumable molding bath for casting with iron. The casting contouring region is formed as one piece or from multiple pieces.
