Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1215115A2] Bow thruster retrofit kit for a water vehicle with a hull comprises a combination of a conventional outboard motor consisting of a shaft (4) and a propeller (5), and a quick-fixing device (9a-c) for removably fixing the shaft on the side of the bow of the hull in a position in which the propeller lies approximately at a right angle to the longitudinal plane of the hull and under the keel line of the hull. An Independent claim is also included for a quick-fixing device for an outboard motor with a shaft and propeller. Preferred Features: The quick-fixing device comprises a first part (9a) fixed to the side of the hull, and a second part (9b) mounted on the shaft and interacting with the first part.
