Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a collapsible box, and to a blank therefor, which box comprises a bottom panel (3) and, pivotally connected therewith, sidewall panels (4,6) located in pairs opposite each other. These sidewall panels, via fastening flaps (8), are mutually pivotally connected such, and further provided with fold lines such, that the box is foldable between a set-up position, in which the sidewall panels extend substantially at right angles to the bottom panel, and a collapsed position, in which the sidewall panels are folded on the bottom panel. The box is reinforced along two opposite sidewall panels with an inner side panel (10) and is reinforced in each corner with a substantially triangular tubular profile located substantially at right angles to the bottom panel. As a result, a constructionally stiff box is obtained, which can be manufactured from a relatively thin, at least light, cardboard type, while maintaining, or actually increasing, stiffness and stacking strength. As a result, material can be saved. <IMAGE>
