Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19947325A1] The dental or medical tool (17b) has a threaded section (19) and fits into a socket (18) in a handle (17a). The first section (L2) of the socket is wider than the second (L5) and is eccentric with respect to it. The tool is first inserted into the wider section and then screwed into the narrower section. Independent claims are included for: (a) a tool as described above where the socket is simply wider at the entry end and not eccentric; and (b) a tool as described above where the socket is uniform but the tool has a narrower section which is inserted first before screwing the two components together.
