Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0068007A1] An index divider sheet assembly (104) adapted for feeding into ink jet printers and the like for a printing operation on the sheet body and/or the index tab (108) of the assembly (104). Assembly (104) includes a divider sheet having a tab (108) extending out of one edge and a reinforced binding edge flap (120). The divider sheet can be manufactured from ink jet receptive top-coated white cardstock. A guide strip (128) along the tab edge assists the assembly (104) being fed and passing through the printer despite the presence of the tab (108). Flap (120) is folded over onto the body of the sheet and held thereon to reduce the width dimension of the assembly (104) so that it can be fed into and passed through the printer. After passing through the printer, strip (128) is removed and flap (120) unfolded. To improve feed of the assembly (104) from a printer feed tray having corner guides, flap (120) is manufactured to have notches cut out of both ends thereof to define thin legs along the flap fold line (116) and at both corner ends of flap (120).
