A pneumatic spinning assembly converts fibres to thread in a jet block with a hollow chamber holding a spindle. The chamber has an air jet generating a vortex within the chamber. A fibre guide is positioned facing the spindle and forms a false core during thread production. A fibre guide passage funnels from outside into the hollow chamber. The fibre guide passage cross sectional profile varies along the passage length. The cross sectional profile minimises the incidence of turbulence and non-laminar flow. The cross sectional profile is either diverging, converging or parallel. The guide (6) extends into the fibre guide (11). The fibre guide passage (11) edge profile has sections which are straight and/or oval, and/or circular, and or round segmented, and/or kidney shape, and/or heart/shaped, and/or sickle shaped and/or half-moon shaped.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine pneumatische Spinnvorrichtung (1) zur Herstellung eines gesponnenen Fadens aus Fasern. In einem Düsenblock (2) ist eine Hohlraum (3), mit einer Spindel (5) angeordnet. Mindestens eine Strahldüse (4) dient zur Erzeugung eines rotierenden Luftstroms in der Hohlraum (3). Gegenüber der Spindel (5) ist ein Faserführungsmittel (6) angeordnet, das bei der Herstellung des Fadens als falscher Kern dient. Ein Faserführungskanal (11) mündet am Fuss des Faserführungsmittels (6) von Aussen in die Hohlraum (3). Der Faserführungskanal (11) weist entlang seiner Länge einen veränderlichen Querschnitt auf. <IMAGE>
