Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1217168A1] The blade retainer for a turbine/compressor rotor stage (10) consists of an open ring (40) with a slit and added material (45) on the sides of the ring adjacent to the slit to compensate for the reduction in weight created by the slit. The added material covers a portion of the ring corresponding to the distance between two adjacent blades, and is in the form of an extra blade width designed and calculated to compensate mechanically and precisely for the missing material of the slit.
