[origin: EP1217209A2] The adjuster for the piston of a hydrostatic machine has the piston mounted between two pressure chambers with a return spring (8a,b). The cylinder pressure is regulated by a valve (2) with a control piston (17) actuated by a control for axial movement. The control force corresponds to the main piston position, the main piston having a return guide link (4) rigidly connected to it for linear movement on a spring casing (43) with a control spring (45).
