Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1217295A2] The double cone gas turbine burner (10) has a perforated front plate (14). A boundary layer (18') of fuel/air mixture is formed in front of this which forms a flame (20) after ignition. A shear layer boundary (21) prevents periodic release of heat and consequent thermoacoustic instabilities.
