The method involves Controlling the drive motor periodically between an upper (1) and a lower (2) revolution rate. The motor is immediately driven back to the lower revolution rate after reaching the upper rate and operated at the lower rate for a defined period (3). The upper revolution rate corresponds to the maximum permissible rate. <??>AN Independent claim is also included for the following: a dishwasher in which the drive motor is controlled in accordance with the inventive method.

Steuerverfahren zum Steuern des elektrischen Antriebsmotors einer Pumpe, insbesondere der Umwälzpumpe einer Geschirrspülmaschine, auf verschiedene Drehzahlen. Ein selbsttätiges Steuern des Antriebsmotors auf die zur Erzielung eines bestimmten Druckes einer Pumpe notwendige Drehzahl wird dadurch erreicht, dass der Antriebsmotor periodisch zwischen einer oberen und einer unteren Drehzahl (1 bzw. 2) hin- und hergesteuert wird. <IMAGE>
