[origin: DE10065840C1] The method involves using the action of a moving granular material (18) on the object. A turbulent layer that envelops the object is produced from the granular material by using an air flow. The object is placed on a bearer (11) that passes the granular material; at least some of the material is raised by the air flow through the bearer to above it. Independent claims are also included for the following: a method of drying and/or polishing objects.

Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren zum Trocknen und/oder Polieren von Gegenständen (22) durch Einwirken eines bewegten, körnigen Materials (18) auf diese. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, daß aus dem körnigen Material (18) durch einen Luftstrom eine Wirbelschicht erzeugt wird, welche die Gegenstände (22) umgibt. <IMAGE>
