[origin: EP1219366A2] The thread profile producing process for steel rod involves heating the steel to make it more deformable before passing it through a thread-cutting device. The hot-rolled rods go to a cutting device (6), in which they are cut before being passed through a thread-cutting device (4), keeping them at a pre-set temperature up to this point.
