Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1219916A1] The armored protective vest, incorporating layers of flexible packages of fibers of a first type, is constructed on its inner or outer side of layers of packages containing fibers of a second type and forming 40-80% of the total weight of the vest. Materials for fibers of the second type include aramide and HPPE. Packages of fibers consisting of these materials are in fact located on the outer side of the vest.
