Abstract (en)
The follower, consisting of a table (1) to support a metal sheet as it is folded between a die (7) and matrix (5), has a lifting and tilting mechanism for the table comprising a first fixed toothed wheel (31) connected to a second one (33) by a toothed belt (36). As the second wheel turns inside the belt it causes the table to pivot about its axle (29), with its rising and falling movements synchronised with its pivoting action, so that a line (21) extended from the table surface always passes through the front edge (5a) of the press matrix.

Accompagnateur de tôle associé à une presse plieuse d'une tôle, du type comprenant un mécanisme de pivotement susceptible de faire basculer la table accompagnatrice, caractérisé en ce qu'une première roue dentée (31) immobile en rotation est reliée à une deuxième roue dentée (33) par une courroie crantée (36), que la deuxième roue dentée (33) se déroule en pivotant à l'intérieur de la courroie crantée (36) et provoque le pivotement de la table accompagnatrice (1) autour de l'arbre de rotation (29) et que les mouvements ascendant et descendant de la table accompagnatrice (1) sont synchronisés avec le mouvement de pivotement de celle-ci, de sorte que le prolongement (21) de la face d'appui supérieure de ladite table (1) passe toujours par l'arête frontale (5a) de la matrice (5) de la presse plieuse. <IMAGE>
