Insulating element for sealing a space between the end surface of a lattice element in the form of a glass pane (6), panel, etc. and an insulating bar (3) in heat-insulated metal profiles used as frames for windows, doors or facades comprises a voluminous insulating strip (8) made of elastically deformable foamed material whose thickness measured perpendicular to the facade surface corresponds approximately to the thickness of one of the individual panes (6.1) of the multiple insulating glazing. Preferred Features: The insulating strip is a hollow profile made of an open-pored, water-repellant/non-water-absorbing or closed pored foamed material.

Das Isolierelement dient zur Abdichtung des Raumes zwischen der Stirnfläche eines Ausfachungselements in Form einer Glasscheibe (6), eines Paneels oder dergleichen einerseits und einem Isoliersteg (3) andererseits. Das Ausfachungselement ist dabei mittels des Isolierstegs (3) gehalten. Das Isolierelement ist als voluminös gestaltete, aus elastisch verformbarem Schaumstoff bestehende Dämmleiste (8) ausgebildet, deren in zur Fassadenfläche senkrechter Richtung gemessene Dicke etwa der Dicke einer der Einzelscheiben (6.1) einer Mehrfachisolierverglasung (6) entspricht. <IMAGE>
