The lock cylinder has a cylinder core (2) rotatably arranged in a cylinder housing and rotatably driving a lock member (3), whereby the cylinder core is slip-coupled with a rotary knob (4). The rotary knob with a cylindrical flange section (5) rotatably locates in the core hollow (6) of the cylinder housing. An end section (7) of the cylinder core projects with clearance into a bore (8) of the flange section. The slip coupling has a ball securement (9) comprising pressure springs, which apply pressure on securing balls working in conjunction with securement troughs.

Die Erfindung einen Schließzylinder mit einem in einem Zylindergehäuse drehbar angeordnetem Zylinderkern (2) und von diesem drehangetriebenen Schließglied (3), wobei der Zylinderkern (2) mit einem Drehknopf (4) rutschgekuppelt ist. Zur gebrauchsvorteilhaften Weiterbildung ist vorgesehen, dass der Drehknopf (4) mit einem zylindrischen Flanschabschnitt (5) in der Kernhöhlung (6) des Zylindergehäuses (1) drehbar einliegt und ein Endabschnitt (7) des Zylinderkerns (2) in eine Bohrung (8) des Flanschabschnittes (5) mit Spiel einragt, wobei die Rutschkupplung eine Kugelrast (9, 10, 11) aufweist mit in Radialbohrungen (12) einliegenden Druckfedern (9), die mit Rastmulden (11) zusammenwirken. <IMAGE>
