Method for operating a controllable/regulatable cooker hood comprises measuring the current consumption of a hob using one or more transducers and processing the measurements using an evaluation unit so that as the current consumption increases, the suction power of the hood also increases, and vice versa. An Independent claim is also included for a device for operating a controllable/regulatable cooker hood. Preferred Features: As current consumption decreases, the evaluation unit induces a delayed reduction in suction power.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Betrieb einer steuer- bzw. regelbaren Dunstabzugshaube, bei dem Aktivitäten der Kochstellenbereichs-Anschaltung detektiert und als Signale zum Steuern/Regeln insbesondere der Absaugleistung der Dunstabzugshaube eingesetzt werden. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass die Stromaufnahme des Kochfeldes mit einem oder mehreren Messwertaufnehmern gemessen wird, und die Messwerte durch eine Auswerteeinheit verarbeitet werden, derart, dass mit steigender Stromaufnahme die Absaugleistung der Dunstabzugshaube erhöht wird und umgekehrt.
