[origin: WO0128911A1] The invention relates to a complete drive system for a lift (1), attached to a support (8), which can be lowered down a lift shaft, in a flexible manner with respect to positioning. The motor torque is transmitted via a belt drive to a flat drive wheel and the support for the lift, which comprises a flat band or synthetic cable which is directly looped over a part of the hub (17) of the drive wheel (5).
