[origin: JP2002240458A] PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a continuously circumferential wall surface of a cylinder as much as possible and to enable the cylinder to easily access (approach) to a folding member supported to the interior of the cylinder. SOLUTION: The cylinder for guiding printing sheets comprises the circumferential wall surface 2 of the cylinder to guide surface-like printing sheets and a holding member for fixing the printing sheets on the wall surface 2. The cylinder further comprises a movable surface element 13 disposed near the folding member 5 for loading surface-like printing sheets advanced from an opening 4 of the circumferential wall surface of the cylinder. In this case, the surface element 13 is moved to an open position by an action of a pressing force of the element 13 and automatically moved to a closed position after the pressing force is released.
