Eine Fahrtreppe oder ein Fahrsteig ist mit einem Sockel für eine Balustrade versehen, die sich entlang eines Stufen- oder Palettenbandes erstreckt und an diese unter Bildung eines Randspalts angrenzt. Der Sockel weist ein Kunststoff-Formteil mit einer flachen Vorderwand und mindestens einer Aussteifungsrippe auf. <IMAGE>
