Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1225328A2] The high pressure fuel system, for an internal combustion motor, has at least two high pressure bodies (1,3) pressed together at their facing surfaces (10,12). A high pressure fuel channel (17) at the bodies, passes between their facing surfaces. One surface carries a ring step (5) around the fuel passage, with a sealing surface (15) at the end side at the other surface. At least one flank (7,9) of the ring step is at an angle ( alpha ) of ≥ 0 degrees to the normal of the sealing surface, to reduce the notch tension for increased stability.
