Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1226955A2] Printer (26) has a first input for carrying first data media and a second input source for an ordered set of media. The set contains a number of sheets with different properties. A user interface (13) allows a user to select a first part of the ordered media that are to be used in a print job and a second set of the ordered media that are to be disposed off to a shredder (23). A processing unit is designed to process user commands so that the corresponding media are used for the correct purpose. An Independent claim is made for a method for printing a print job in which a user can control which media are used for a print job and which are disposed of in a shredder.
