[origin: EP1227201A1] A device for protecting a gutter having a rear wall (16, 116), a front wall (20, 120), a bottom wall (18, 118), which together define a trough, the device comprising a mounting member (30, 130), a guard member (44, 144) with a first side (50) of the guard member being engageable with the mounting member to prevent substantial vertical movement of the guard member. Horizontal movement is provided by means of a flexible member (142) or by permitting horizontal movement between the guard member and mounting member.
