[origin: WO0133035A1] The invention relates to a device for transferring rods for horizontal advance appliances provided for effecting an underground trenchless advance. The inventive device comprises a storage container (11) and a pivotable gripper (31) which is arranged in such a way that the circular path of the gripper (31) crosses both the transfer area of the storage container (11) as well as the boring axis (B). The gripper (31) unlocks a locking element when swinging into the transfer position.
