Abstract (en)
For arranging and applying a sequence of gilding leafs on a strip, or strips, advancing in the machine, the apparatus comprises a pervious, aspirating conveyor belt (12) which is subjected to vacuum by means of pervious walls of suction boxes (20, 22) along the active branch for conveying the gilding leafs (D) to a free cylinder (18) after which the belt is made to skim the surface of the strip, or strips (L) on which glue was applied, to arrange and stick the so-called imitation gold leaf (D) with at least one contoured, elastic pressure roller (34); the gilding leafs (D) are fed onto the conveyor belt (12) by means of a mechanical hand (32) which picks the leafs from a reservoir (30). <IMAGE>
