Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0136950A1] The invention relates to a cap (1). A layer containing a fluorescent matter is arranged on a surface of said cap, whereby said surface is directed towards the outside. Said layer can be oxygen-sensitive for instance. The cap can be put on a connecting piece (7), wherein at least one optical waveguide is received. Fluorescence exciting light is directed to the layer the containing fluorescent matter, by means of said connecting piece and the optical waveguide. The fluorescent light is directed to an optical detector by means of the optical waveguide or a second optical waveguide. Intensity of the fluorescent light can thus be measured. The inventive cap that can be produced in a cost-effective manner and can be exchanged easily is provided with a swelling (5) that extends along the inner lateral surface thereof or protruding studs that are distributed over the circumference. Said studs engage with a ring groove (6) in a positive fit when the cap is in put on the connecting piece which is provided with the optical waveguides, whereby said ring groove is embodied on the outer lateral surface of the connecting piece.
