[origin: WO0137022A1] The invention relates to a sealing end for at least one phase cable (8) in which an optical wave guide is guided, for reducing said optical wave guide (120) from a high voltage to earth potential through a splice housing (30). Said sealing end comprises the following: a voltage-end top fitting (10) comprising a phase cable fixing device (15); a sealing end insulator (11) which is situated on said fitting (10) and in which said optical wave guide (120) extends; a bottom fitting (20) at earth potential, comprising the splice housing (30) and a mast fixing device (130); a chamber for the splice housing (30) being formed on the bottom fitting (20) by a first (12) and a second (22) plate which are held apart from each other by several studs (36); and the splice housing (30) having an axially symmetrically configured cover (32) by which means it can be filled in such a way that it is resistant to pressure.
