[origin: EP1231142A1] The tool for fastening a band around a cable harness has jaws (3) which act as a guide for the band. When these are closed a recess (6) forms a free space which can be closed by a slide (5) which then forms part of the band guide. An Independent claim is included for a system for fastening a band around a cable harness using the tool.
