A microstructured paper or paper-like material (PPLM) having self-cleaning and anti-adhesive action and peaks and depressions in the surface, the distance between the peaks being 0.04-100 micro m and the peak heights 0.04-100 micro m containing a binder with particle size 0.04-50 micro m and which is hydrophobic over its whole cross section is new. An Independent claim is included for preparation of the microstructured paper with addition of a hydrophilizing agent within the framework of a wet process for treating the PPLM fibers of particle size 0.04-50 micro m and fixing the particles on the fibers with a binder.

Beschrieben wird ein mikrostrukturiertes Papier oder papierartiges Material mit selbstreinigender und antiadhäsiver Wirkung, das auf der Oberfläche Erhebungen und Vertiefungen aufweist, wobei der Abstand zwischen den Erhebungen im Bereich von 0,04 bis 100 µm und die Höhe der Erhebungen im Bereich von 0,04 bis 100 µm liegen, wobei das Papier oder papierartige Material dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass es mit einem Bindemittel an das Papier oder papierartige Material gebundene Partikel einer Partikelgröße von 0,04 bis 50 µm enthält und wobei das Papier oder papierartige Material über den gesamten Materialquerschnitt hinweg hydrophob ist, sowie ein Verfahren zur Herstellung desselben.
