[origin: EP1231329A1] Brick-like heat-insulating element (2) comprises at least one compression-proof support element (6a, 6b) having at least one load-transferring upper and lower support surface (9a, 10a, 9b, 10b) and at least one heat-insulating isolating element (1). The isolating element lies at least partly on at least one side surface of the support element. The support element is formed from at least one longitudinal strip and/or transverse strip in a horizontal section between the upper and lower support surfaces. Preferred Features: The isolating element is made of polystyrene. The support element is made of light-weight concrete, light-weight mortar or non-mineral material, especially plastic.
